1.I studied at National High School. Can I become a member of Udyam? Can I enroll as a mentor? Can I enroll as a committee member?
Answer: Yes, you can become a member of Udyam, if you have studied at National High School, irrespective of the year and batch you passed out from. Even if you have not studied at National High School, but if you believe in our philosophy of supporting various initiatives of Udyam, you can become a member. However, to become a mentor or a committee member, you will first have to become a member.
 
2.I am not a student of National High School, but studied only at National College. Can I still become a member?
Answer: Yes, you can become a member
 
3.Is there any money to be paid to become a member?
Answer: NO. However, since UDYAM is a public charitable trust, it is always seeking funds from individuals, companies, other NGOs, Government agencies, etc.
 
4.Should I be a member to donate? Is there a minimum amount that I need to donate? If so how much?
Answer: Yes. If you want to donate, you need to be a member. The minimum amount for donation is Rs. 1000.00. Any amount over that is welcome. All donations to be in the form of Wire Transfer / Cheque / DD payable in Bangalore.
 
5.I cannot or do not want to donate any money. But I want to be a mentor for Udyam Scholars.
Answer: Sure you can be a mentor. If you are an expert in any subject either by qualification or by experience or both, you can be a mentor. However, you will have to spend time with the Udyam Scholar/s once you become a mentor. The amount of time depends on the ward you are mentoring
 
6. I cannot or do not want to donate any money. But I want to become a committee member for Udyam.
Answer: At the present moment, only donors can become committee members to drive different initiatives of Udyam. However, keep coming back to this site for any updates and changes.
 
7.What is unique about Udyam Public Charitable Trust?

Answer: Udyam is a Public Charitable Trust that offers not just scholarships but also mentoring. We have a pool of experts in various fields, who will guide Udyam Scholars through their education and train them to become worthy individuals. Apart from providing scholarships, Udyam shall also work towards assisting teachers to teach better, make use of technology, and also to improve the facilities at school.

 

8.Does Udyam support any other school other than National High School?

Answer: At this time, our focus is on National High School. However, keep coming back to this site for any updates and changes.

 

9.I want to donate large sum of money. Do I get any tax exemption? Is 80G available from Udyam?

Answer: Our application for getting an 80G exemption is under process. Keep coming back to this site for any updates and changes.

 

10.I live outside India. How do I contribute to Udyam?

Answer: Our application for accepting donations in Foreign Currency is under process with the regulators. We shall start accepting contributions in foreign currency once we have the necessary clearances. In the meantime, you can use your NRI, NRO accounts to donate in Indian currency. You may also encourage your associates in India to donate generously to this worthy cause.

 

11.Do you have any associate organizations other than in Bangalore?
